First-Time Homebuyers Receive $8000

24 February, 2009 (12:35) | Buyers

After much debate in going back and forth on what is the best way to stimulate the economy in regards to giving money to first-time homebuyers the government will give an $8000 tax credit to all first-time homebuyers who buy a home in 2009 before December.

Those who are in the housing industry are pleased with the increase of the tax credit from $7500 to $8000. There are estimates that the $8000 tax credit will bring an additional 300,000 new homebuyers into the market this year. One of the best ways to stimulate the economy is to help those who need help to purchase what you want them to purchase and homeowners are one of the most dominant factors that economist look at when looking at the health of any economy.

The stimulus package will have a great impact down the line as these first-time homebuyers will trade up in years to come which will also help to stimulate the economy.
