There are many 1/2 acre parcels available. Construction time depends on the subdivision, most can be purchased for construction @ sometime in the future. Cedar City is not currently metered, possible at some time in the future. For instance Sunrise Meadows are 1/2-3/4 acre lots that are on city water/sewer @ approx. $50.00 per month. Larger parcels that are out of the City system have their own water association that you pay the association for, or own their own well systems.

I am looking for a .5 acre lot for investment and retirement home. If I purchase a lot, how long do I have to begin construction on a home? I would like to know about water meter hook-up for a watering source for some landscaping until the home is built.
