The USEPA as of 4/22 require remodeling work on homes built before 1978 to be undertaken only by certififeed contractors in lead base paint practices. The home owner should assume there is lead base paint present unless the home has been certified to be safe. Certified re-modelers are required to display their EPA certification. We are seeing “flipping” of homes again and allot of do-it-yourselves, so they should be aware of these dangers.
